Peru is one of the most incredible countries and boasts significant cultural experiences, unique regional cuisines, and tons of epic trekking experiences, and is one of the most diverse countries in South America. Let’s not forget about the mighty Inca dynasty that created their empire from the Imperial City of Cusco, but there’s a plethora of Pre-Inca cultures that called the Amazon, the Andes Mountains, and the sprawling arid coastal deserts home.

Peru can be explored through a variety of tours, but what I love most is exploring the country on my own terms, riding local buses, eating a menu del dia at the local markets, visiting sacred spots, and the endless trekking possibilities. Swim in the sea, hike past Inca ruins, eat the incredible cuisine, and try hard not to leave a piece of your heart here.
