Green, Rugged Stretches of Coastlines, a Celtic Past, Stunning Montes, Rias, and the End of the Camino. A Place in Spain you won’t forget.
Galicia holds such a dear place in my heart; it’s my chosen home.
Galicia is most famous for being the end of Europe’s grand pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago. But slow down, and you’ll find enchanting villages, both near the sea and tucked away in the mountains. There are historical cities filled with incredible cathedrals and monasteries, protected islands, mighty rivers that cut through valleys, and thermal waters.
Galicia has a Celtic history, was conquered by the Romans, and today has its own unique language (galego) and distinctive culture.
There are numerous Natural Parks, Maritime Natural Parks, and over one hundred official PR hiking routes.
