Life-Changing, Soul-Shaking, the Journey of a Lifetime. Europe’s Grandest Pilgrimage. The Camino.
The Camino de Santiago is a pilgrimage route that leads to the historical city of Santiago de Compostela. Saint James is supposedly buried under the magnificent Cathedral. Pilgrims have been walking since the Middle Ages to seek forgiveness, healing, and to pay their respects to the Apostle James.
There are numerous Camino routes, but all of them lead to Santiago de Compostela.
While the destination is the Cathedral de Santiago de Compostela, the real reward is to savor each step of the Way. Whatever the route, pilgrims follow the yellow shells and arrows.
The Way passes by tiny villages, grand cathedrals, and historical cities. Walk through enchanted forests, on Old Roman Roads, next to vineyards, and beauty that will call you back again and again.
Buen Camino.

6 Day Alentejo Road Trip from Historical Sites, Memorable Villages, and Cultural Treasures
Sun-kissed plains of wheat, ancient groves of oak, cork, and olive trees, tiny villages built on craggy hilltops- these are the images that stick into my mind the most when I think of Portugal’s beautiful Alentejo Region.
